On Tuesday, 9 February 2021<\/strong>, the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day<\/strong><\/a> is celebrated with actions taking place right across the globe. With a theme once again of \u00abTogether for a better internet\u00bb<\/strong>, the day calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people.<\/p>\n

Every February since 2004, Safer Internet Day (SID) \u2013 <\/strong>organised by the Insafe\/INHOPE network of European Safer Internet Centres (SICs) with the support of the European Commission* \u2013 has been a global, community-led observance which provides a space for all stakeholders to reflect on how together we can promote a responsible, respectful, critical and creative use of digital technologies<\/strong> with the ultimate goal of fostering a better internet for all.<\/p>\n

Whether you are a young person, a parent or carer, a teacher or an educator, a policy maker, or whether you represent an organisation or industry, everyone has a role to play in creating and maintaining a better online world.
