At the moment this is not an officially approved policy.It is an assignment done as part of the Steamonedu Blended Course 2021. It contains useful insights and might be adopted  at a later stage by national or local authorities.             RECYCLING SCHOOLS.  S.T.E.A.M can be the key in research for sustainability and prosperity of citizens as modern age demands. Wastes are a real huge problem we ought to figure out a solution immediately all together and each one by his / her power position. My policy is about recycling ideal and how vocational education can help on that crucial matter.

Recycling innovative idea through education and technology for systainability.

Description of the policy

           The general problem is the increase of cities waste cause of the overpopulation and lack of information for utilization of recyclable waste. Recycling is a matter that community must educate to do right at home first. Education in all grades can collaborate for citizens education then scientific and vocational community in education can collaborate to find feasible ways of recyclable materials and create new ones more ecofriendly so all community would be benefitted by that at last. Collaboration – communication – creativity builder of new future foundation.

Implementation procedures and plan

Recyclable materials such as glass, plastic, metal, paper, aluminum cans even fabrics can be either supplied by school area citizens to school or maybe the local authority in cooperation with the recycling factory can request the provision of leftover recyclable materials for the disposal of the educational action.Τhe materials that will result from the renewable raw materials will be reused for decorative or other constructions that can be sold in a school bazaar and the profits can be used to buy laboratory tools. Materials that will emerge and do not make for decorative constructions can be used in laboratories of various school specialties for further research and creation on the concept of recycling and sustainability in their professional section.


Structures for implementation

Vocational technical schools  labors who have well equipped laboratories to participate in RECYCLING SCHOOL WORKSHOPS program.    Special needs schools who has well equipped technological labors.


Monitoring and evaluation

MONITORING : Τechnological measure instruments about local area waste reduction made of teams. Public surveys about the program for improvements if needed. Participation into the working groups . Monitoring technological tools for workshops communication in exchange views and innovative ideas in new recyclable constructions.

EVALUATION: Peer review assesment about  workshops results and procedure per week. Team self evaluation.

                         Risks  evaluation and mitigation strategies.
