Abstract

Coding Our Future started in 2016 as a voluntary initiative of individuals and organizations with the common goal of promoting computer and coding skills for students, teachers and parents.

The program includes events, seminars and workshops to promote and develop computer skills and problem solving through programming.

The program is offered FREE of charge with sponsorships from various agencies and on its logo superheroes are featured, because the coding skills are considered as the superpowers of the future.

Description of the practice

Coding and robotics workshops with private visits to schools.

Emphasis is placed on the creation of digital products (Digital artefacts) using programming. It is addressed to children who are in Pre-primary and primary school students and each laboratory has a duration of one teaching period for Pre-primary and two teaching periods for Primary. Up to 3 different classes can participate in each visit.
