Reason for policy

Minority school are consisted by students who are all Greek citizens but they have different mother tongue and different religion than the official one (they are muslims).

By organising and sharing with all local community our webpage, it will be a great opportunity for parents and families to know and understand what work is done during school years and how their children participate and share their creations with others.

Description of the policy

This policy exists because of regulatory reasons. Minority schools should follow the rest of the public schools policy,by having their own webpage. There would be a lot of benefits by following this policy. Parents will understand the collaborative work that is done by teachers and students, will admire their childrens' creations and moreover local community will feel close to our school

Implementation procedures and plan

The most important section of the policy is the collaboration between school and local communtiy. The intended audience will be both all school's teachers and local community (families, local authorities). The creation of such webpage is an easy task. However, since we don not have a specific ICT teacher in our school (nor in any other Minority school) I will have to be the coordinator of the whole activity. Collaboration between all school's teachers is essential in order to have the best result. Parents and students will be the gain a lot

Structures for implementation

1. All theachers will gather in order to decide about the aspect.

2. Agree to select the most suitable web tool in order to proceed with the design.

3. Agree on the subject and the content of each subject.

4. Parents are informed about the webpage

5. Parents give permission for their children

6. Students are informed and discuss on how they would like their work to be shown in the webpage.

7. Collaboration between teachers and students about the material that will be gathered.

8. Uploading the material

9. Spred the webpage in local community

Monitoring and evaluation

The procedures will be implemented mainly by teachers with their students' assistance.
