The 2nd Congress of Digital Competences was the perfect opportunity, on 18 February 2021, for the workshop dedicated to educators for reflecting on STE(A)M education. The STEAMonEdu project and the STE(A)M competences framework were presented and discussed in this context, taking advantage of the call provided by ACTIC and the Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration.
The workshop “STE(A)M digital skills for educators and trainers” brought together 34 educators from the Catalan territory to deepen the concept of STE(A)M education. STEAMonEdu project partners from Colectic – Esther Subias, project manager, and Pep Oliveras, STEAM educator and Colectic coordinator, organized a workshop focused on the competence framework for professionals who implement STE(A)M in classrooms and establish, among the assistants, the priorities in the training of these professionals collaboratively, especially in times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This meeting was an opportunity to verify the value of the STEAMonEdu project and its community of practice that involves educators interested in the STE(A)M approach in teaching and facilitates their active contribution to the framework development.
